Can I 1v1 my friend in a real match?

I want to 1v1 one of my friends, and I know you can choose that in practice, but if you're going through all that trouble you might as well gain arena tickets and stuff right? I want to know if you can always do a 1v1 match with the same friend every time in a real match. Any ideas?

No, you should not get arena tickets from practice ever. You could easily just fight friends with no cards in and get a ton of arena tickets. It would be the same thing in ranked, and thankfully it's impossible to reliably fight friends. (although when I have friends on, they often seem to get paired with me)
