Tested this with some friends who are equal level and close to equal rank. I routinely got matched up with way higher ranks vs. my corporal or sergeant rank depending on how I did.
I also never got matched up according to how it is "supposed" to work. I also noticed a long time to find a match even though there were many close in rank and equal level players in the queue.
