Which is better? Golden Ram or a Li'l Siren?

I don't like spells that take time to kill. The basilisk spell takes time, but it does a lot of damage. The Siren spell does damage to all enemies, but doesn't it fizzle a lot? Please help.

It really depends on your school and level. I wouldn't use a damage spell that isn't your school, so Siren for Storm, Ram for Myth.
