Ok, here's what I wanted to post to show my feelings about the pet expansion:
GOOD
1.) Hatching (Hybrids)
2.) Hatching (the part of making more pets)
3.) Boss pet drops [I don't know if they were there before or not]
4.) Pet Snacks
5.) Derby
BAD
1.) Hatching (not being able to choose offspring)
2.) Hatching (the fees; mostly for lower levels)
3.) Minigames (not much variety)
4.) Pet Energy (Really? They're MINIGAMES!)
5.) Refilling (it takes like 8 hours for a Grandmaster's to fill completely up)
6.) Hatching (not being able to do it again for 24 hours)
UGLY
1.) Egg timers (We have to seriously wait just to get a pet? It can go over a day!)
2.) Cards at specific levels (You're telling me that I have to do like 2 hours of mindless minigames just to get my pet a card?! Not to mention I got to waste my money on Crowns to fill up the Energy.)
Why spend crowns on Energy refill? Just send the pet over to a lower level character and level it. Energy refills whenever a wizard levels.
This is a game - the "bad" are obstacles for the players. It's not supposed to be a breeze to do everything. Low level characters can Hatch low-pedigree pets cheaply. They will be able to pay for Hatching higher pedigree pets as they progress to higher levels - which is exactly the way it should be.
Yes. The Energy will empty when the lowbie wizard takes the pet from the shared bank. That has little effect if it's a 1st level wizard because you can level that wizard in about two minutes and get an Energy refill.
And you can level that wizard several times in an hour.
Actually, no. If you try to take out a pet from your shared bank, it empties your pet Energy
That is why the order is suggested thusly:
1. Get pet from bank (Pet energy will zero out) 2. Level Character (Pet energy will refill) 3. Train pet until pet energy is empted 4. Level character, rinse and repeat.
