I was wondering if the heckhound was worth training to ancient. Right now my pet is at adult. I'm a pyromancer so i'm looking for a pet that could help me in battle. He raises my fire spells my two percent but i would like to know what his next talent is before I spend some major time training him.

The 2% will be raised as you raise the pet's stats. At ancient you'll get another ability, but who knows what it will be.
If you wand over the stats, they will tell you which affect damage...raise those and power.
