Pet with Cards

I noticed that there pets with cards in the shop, but what happens to the card after they grow up?

What happens when you mix pets with cards? For example, I want to mix my white rat magician with my ortherus--and I'm hoping for the baby to keep the card? Anybody know?

I'd guess that it would depend on the randomness of genetics. If it 'clones' the Ortherus, you get that guy's card. If it 'clones' the WRM, it gets that card.

No telling what happens if you actually get a hybrid, assuming hybrids exist for anything outside 2 48 level mixes.

(I've seen guides for the 48 level hybrids - I'm guessing that the cost of breeding has made experimentation on other hybrid types impractical.)
