Some pets come with a card at Baby, some Adult, some Ancient. My Death Bat required Ancient, and Brown Spider required Adult. Then my level 48 pets even though they have card at Baby all so far gave me pip o plenty.
So far I have never got a ranked pet derby with my Death Bat at Ancient. I have been told only Teen gets a ranked race. Sigh.
So how about the ability to 'handicap' your pet back to a previous level?
The biggest problem I see is how do you keep track of the five attributes the pet had at say Teen. But at least the Talents received after Teen could be disabled.
It's not "only Teens get a ranked race". Rather a pet has to be Teen or older to participate in a ranked race. No need to "handicap" in the manner you suggest.
Well, then how about KI fixes the ranked pet derby first. :)
I think I see the source of my confusion; I was beat in the practice pet derby by a PvP Commander with a Black Crow, which can be purchased with arena tickets in the Pet Arena. I assumed (yeah I know the saying) that he got it from ranked derby matches; now I see that PvP arena tickets or whatever they are called can be used to buy items in the Pet Arena.
