I just got fearless fortifier on my smith pet and when I get it to adult, I plan on hatching it with my fierce hound so it hopefully "may cast" fortify, death shield, and spirit. How do I get the talents I want on the off-spring pet, or is it just not possible to pre-set the talents I want on my pet and it's just random?
You can't "pre-set" an offspring's talents in a hatch. An offspring will get a mix of both parents' talents (both manifested and unmanifested). Which talents carry over to the offspring is random chance.
