Have to shut down game to play pet games

I can only play several games usually at a time. The amount varies. Sometimes it's 2 sometimes it's 10 but the "press x to play" disappears and If I quit and come back in it does no good. I have to completely shut down the game and reload before I can play again.
Is this a known bug in the game?

You don't have to shut anything down, just click "x" anyway and you'll be able to play. Yes, it's a bug that happens occasionally.

yep, ravenlady's got it! this isn't just a pet game glitch it happens with NPCs too.
