Question about pet talents

I'm currently working on hatching and training a powerful pet, so I've been doing a lot of research on talents and training tactics etc. One thing that I heard was that the order of talents manifesting is determined when the pet hatches, and the only thing that the training of the pet affects is the power of those predetermined talents. Is this true? It will definitely change my training technique if it turns out that the manifestation order is completely independent of the pet's stats.

All of a pets attributes are set at hatch. Nothing you can do in training will change anything. You can train to unlock the talents that are there, and raise the numerical stats to their innate limit, but nothing you can do post-hatch will change what talents and abilities you get, or the order in which they manifest.
