playing as a pet question

I did the pet quests where I found the buried stuff when play as a pet first started, but now I found a buried book and it won't let me get it. I made my pet have full happiness. I feel like I'm forgetting something. Can someone please help?

Is the book on Triton Avenue? That's only interactable with a quest.
