just a quick question how often do the monkey spider drop the pain giver jewel?

It's very rare- up there with defy jewels and proof jewels.

That being said, you're better off going for that talent in your talent pool and socketing a school-giver jewel instead. They are easier to acquire and can be crafted fairly easily.
