My question is about how some bosses don't allow you to heal, and if you do then they cast a power spell or they might heal their own team. Do spells like unicorn/sprite that our pets cast cause any bosses to do this? Or do the bosses ignore them?

Most of the bosses DO react to them. To be sure you can check the specific boss on the wiki. If you're unsure, it is best to change out a healing pet for something without heals for bosses who cheat when we heal...some of their cheats can be really bad news!
