Can A Pet Turn Into A Different One?

I have a Fire Elf with Fire Elf as its card. Say I want to hatch with a Balance pet with Balanceblade. Eventually will my Fire Elf with Fire Elf turn into a Balance pet with Balanceblade if I hatch with a Balance pet with a Balanceblade. Or does the pet just get the talents it gets and the card and pet itself stays the same? Also if it does eventually turn into the other pet, roughly how many time would it take?

When you hatch a pet, either of these options can occur:

You will get back your same pet (just possible different talents, traits etc.)

You will get the pet you hatched with.

Or, in some cases, you can get a hybrid (a combination of both parents)

In your case, only the first two options apply.

Hatching is extremely random at times and can just come down to pure luck.

So, if it's the case where you have started hatching and not gaining favourable results (pet you want), remain persistent.
