You can get swords from any of the high level bosses in MS (usually the last boss in the last 6-7 area can drop one at a very low % <less than 3% chance each combat, if that> ). I have run over a dozen characters through MS, and gotten 1 sword via normal drops. I did a farming campaign with one of my earlier characters, and it took over a 100 combats to get a sword.
Do not assume you will get a sword without extensive farming.
