I am new to Mooshu. What tasks should I do? Right now I am collecting the Jade Oni staff. I do not want to do all of the side quests. I am currently a lvl 39 sorcerer.

Ignore the sidequests for now, following the storyline is probably the best thing to do IF you want to rush to Dragonspyre. Otherwise, take your time and do what you feel like doing.
