I was wondering i have had my spell quest for awhile while working on mooshu but yet i have not unlocked crimson fields. What area should I work in to get it?
You will eventually get into Crimson Fields when you continue doing the main missions. They will give you access to Crimson Fields when they ask you to defeat the Oni.

Sometimes our Teachers ask us to go in Places/Areas we do not have access to for Spell Quests. (You: ) Just follow what you believe are the Storyline Quests (If thats what you want to do) and you will eventually be told to go to Crimson Fields, where the War Oni is.
If you want to know the Areas in order.... Hamestu Village Tataki Outpost Crimson Fields (Dungeon) Cave of Solitude Kishibe Village Shirataki Temple (Dungeon) Ancient Burial Grounds Village of Sorrow Tree of Life (Dungeon) Fight the Jade Oni Fight Cyrus Drake Meet Cyrus in the Basilica.
