I have been in Mooshu for 3(-ish) weeks now and I'm a level 36. I've been pretty much doing it solo, and not stopping for any side quests. But I'll read the forums about people just getting to Mooshu and they are levels 34+! Should I go back and do sidequests? I got out of Marleybone at level 28, and now I am at the quest to visit Shirataki Temple.
Oh, and I'm a life wizard, if that makes a difference.

My storm wizard is level 38 and completed Shirataki at level 37 just yesterday so you seem to be doing okay. Just be careful not to complete Dragonspyre too early or you'll have nothing to do but side quests.
