I might be wrong but....

wizard city = im not sure its based off of anything
krokotopia = egypt
grizzlehiem/wintertusk = Scandinavia (i might be thinking of someplace else)
marleybone = london
mooshu = japan/china
dragonspyre = rome (i think, not sure)
celestia = not quite sure this is based off of a real place, but it might be atlantis
zafaria = africa
avalon = midevil europe
azteca = tenochtitlan (present day mexico city)
krysalis = idk, never been there
polaris = idk, never been. But from some pictures i've seen, it reminds me of france. To contribute to that, theres a housing item called "patriote graffiti". If you place it, it says "viva la penguonia". I know that "viva la..." means "long live the..." in french. To add onto that, a bit of past experience from my days in Pirate101. In Pirate101, at some point you help break Napoleguin out of prison. Name sounds familar? A look in a textbook or a quick search online will mention Napoleon, a former emporer of france. With all that, it's probably safe to say polaris is based off of france. Anyways,
Mirage = still not quite sure, i've never been there.

I would say Avalon is based upon Camelot.

Zafaria is an African safari. It also has a reference to "The African Queen." Watch the Humphrey Bogart and Katharine Hepburn movie by that title. Then look again at the man and woman waiting by the boat.

Mooshu is feudal Japan I think.

Marleybone is Victorian London. It has references to Sherlock Holmes.

Wysteria seems to give a nod to Harry Potter. (Wizard school.)

Dragonspyre -- there are so many dragons in literature I don't know for sure.

Mirage seems to give a nod to the Star Wars films.

Polaris is based off of Russia. Walruskburg=St. Petersburg. Rasputin was actually a real historical person who advised the royal family of Russia before the Bolshevik Revolution.

Mirage is fairytale Persia with many 80's sci-fi movies references.

There are many references in each world, but I would say the most important for Mirage is the novel Dune.

Avalon has a ton of references to Monty Python and the Holy Grail movin.

Lot of Greek mythology in Olympic trials, and Norse in Grizzleheim.

I asked a question similar to this too, I will try to answer this question to the best of my ability even though I am still in khrysalis part 2

Wizard city: Hogwarts/generic mmorpg starting world

Krok: Wow nobody can figure out this one (sarcasm lol)

GH: Sweden or Denmark in the middle ages

Marleybone: England in I think the 30's

Mooshu: east Asia in the 1400's or 1500's

Dragonspyre: an underworld version of the Roman Empire

Celestia: Atlanta/Polynesia

Zafaria: Gee another hard one (sarcasm)

Avalon: Feudal England/Ireland/Scotland/

Azteca: The aztecs during the age of discovery/dinosaur extinction

Khrysalis: This one actually is hard (not sarcasm), but I'm going to guess a combination of WW1/ fuedal France/ and Israel in the early 1900's When Zionism grew

Polaris: I heard it was like the Russian Empire before the Soviet Union

Mirage: Probably Persia

Darkmoor: Fuedal Germany

Wysteria: Another Hogwarts

Wizard City: Pretty much its own thing. One could argue Hogwarts maybe

Krokotopia: Ancient Egypt

Marleybone: Victorian England

Mooshu: Feudal Japan/China

Dragonspyre: Been trying to figure this one out for a while; you got a desolate world that resembles Rome with ghosts that have Russian accents and remains of dragons

Celestia: Atlantis

Zafaria: African Safari

Avalon: The Middle Ages

Azteca: Most likely the Aztec Empire

Khrysalis: Idk to be honest; it's a little hard to tell

Polaris: I say it's inspired by the French Revolution and the Russian Empire prior to its dissolvement

Mirage: Persia

Polaris: France/Russia

Mirage: Middle East/Persia
