The free chest benefit is alright but its very underwhelming, it should reset for every time you start the dungeon again, I've been farming darkmoor for the past 3 days and i am not able to get a particular gear piece for a while now, and you have to fight 2 other bosses before Malistaire but it gets tedious and unfun once you've been doing it all day.
