The original idea came from somewhere else on the message boards a year ago, buried in a completely different idea. I forgot who created it, sorry, but I want to re-introduce the idea- Tomes!
In pirate101 who can wear an eye patch or earrings, you can only have one at a time, and they are in the same tab in the backpack. The same would be true for tomes, they would be grouped with amulets as the have closely the same traits. Tomes would give you 'treasure cards' as real ones, however they would have to be normal cards not event exclusive. They could be entered in your deck multiple times, you can enchant them, etc. Here are some examples:
Tome of the Ice bats- Dropped in various places in Krokotopia and Wizard City Level 5+ Gives spell: Ice Bats
Tome of the Firezilla- Dropped in various places in Mooshu and Dragonspyre Level 45+ Gives spell: Firezilla
Sirocco Djinni's Tomb- Dropped in various places in Celestia and Zafaria, and in some 5 boxes Level 60+ Only +100 Gives spell: Sirocco Djinni
