Alright, so in the third arc, you learn about the existane of the Cabal, and also learn, at one point there were interested in recruiting you.

I think it would be cool (and yes I understand the work it would take) if there was an option, early on (Like, around the end of wizard city), to actually choose between secretly joining, or siding with Ambrose,

and if you choose to join, most missions are the same, as they would assign you to continue working under ambrose, as a spy, and using that position to 'deal' with Malistare, as well as Morgathe, who get in the groups way anyway, and the story would really start to change at the third arc, when you would either not join the Arcanum, or join as a spy, and secretly opreate against them, and eventually betray them.

This is a kid's game about doing good stuff and not destroying the spiral. It sounds kinda neat but honestly there are multiple times in the story where all is lost unless you defeat XYZ. If you decide to side with them then the bad guy wins and that's it, that's the story.

thats why, most of the story would be exactly the same until the third arc, as the Cabal assigns you to work as a spy, working to in the first arc, defeat Malistare so they can get the eye, and in the 2nd, stop Morganthe so they can go through with their plan no problem

maybe even a bit into it, like, at the end of Mirage, like maybe they assign you to work your way to an understudy in the arcantum and gain their trust so you can turn on them,as well as get acsess to their studies, and after you do and you start fighting against the Arcanum, and the professors,

maybe in there there is a chance (Or as just part of the story) when you become a double agent, against the Cabal, eventally betraying them, so the story can continue beyond, or maybe not even have you reveal yourself, and continue through the end of the third arc, the cabal making it look like they lost, when the defeat was fake or something,

sorry for rambling
