What is the conversion rate on Crowns to Gold? And can it be done?

Like.......500 crowns = 1500 Gold

Thanks for the help...JK I figured it out, you can trade the crowns in and get gold for it. I admit it I'm new, my daughter bugged me to play with her so here I am.
