Ok..... So I am a fire wizard... I hatched and got a forest lord... But I can't use it! There isn't enough pips only 7. I know about the mastery amulet... But I can't get that... So... I either need to change how many pips are add another spot for one more pip....
So, you decided to hatch with this pet, get it, now you think you are entitled to more???
You chose to hatch, you took a risk... If you don't want to farm for the amulet, and you don't want to buy one, then that is your fault, not the games...

the forest lord pet says it's a life only pet on it, or at least mine does- so, actually, you shouldn't be able to even equip it. you could make a life mage and give it to him, or just keep it at your house for decoration. -valerian daisytamer, master theurgist (and crew)

I think hybrid pets are more the bragging rights and to see the cool pets out there but to be honest why? Wtih full pips you can dragon and you can meteor after that or scald much much more efficient then wasting all your pips on a life spell.
