I use my sideboard quite a bit and have noticed recent updates have shrunk the number of cards I can use in battle. Any reason for the change? It is a bit annoying and I have lost cards due to this change.

I haven't seen this at all which deck are you seeing this with? How many should it have to what it offers you? And I'm sure you've ruled out the obvious but I have to ask you are remembering to restock your side bar after you use it eight?
