A while ago, I posted a thread that asked the question, "Why are Evil Snowmen called 'evil' if they help us? That doesn't really make them evil, does it?" After many people posted comments trying to answer my question, Prof. Greyrose answered:
"How many friendly snowmen do you know that come at you with a dagger? Evil has its purpose, you are using this spell to attack your opponents, so to them, it's evil."
After thinking about this, I realize she really didn't answer my question. If, to villains, the snowmen are evil because we use them as attack spells, why do we call them evil? I'm not asking why we don't call "friendly" (obviously that wouldn't work), but why don't we call them grumpy? It makes more sense and I've seen some snowmen pets called grumpy snowmen. Does anyone else agree?

You must understand this is a kid game, and that kids don't go into this much detail. Yes though, I agree.

Actually no; that is a widely accepted misconception of the game. Wizard101 is a family game, not a kid game. Anyway, when it comes to weird things like these, it just irks me.

I really think your going over-the-edge on your idea snowmen are evil
They are evil because they don't care who or what they attack. They attack whatever they happen to be facing when they pop up out of the ground.

Well in that case, isn't every monster evil?
It is in the context of how you use the spell.
But then again, I think any creature made of snow someone found on the side of the road would have serious issues that would make it evil (or at least just a tad bit insane).

...but we don't get our snowmen from the side of the road. Even if the "context" mattered, how are attacks 'evil' in general? Isn't it all left to the person who's casting the spell?
