Extremely slow loading

Wizard101 loads extremely slow on my computer. My computer is attached to a home network that has a windows 2008 R2 server that is a domain controller and has active directory installed. The only app I have speed issues with is Wizard101.

When I remove my machine from the domain and connect it to the workgroup it will load Wizard101 just fine. I have 12 machines on my network and it is the same result for everyone of them.

I know the easy solution is to leave the machine on the workgroup, but that defeats the purpose of having a server. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix it?

Some ideas. You may be able to use one or more of these, depending on your configuration and policy setup:

1) Set up an SSH tunnel or SOCKS proxy to bypass the domain.

2) Run the program as Administrator.

3) Grant the program full permissions in policies, and/or access to ports 12000-12999.

4) Configure your router and/or hardware firewall to allow the program full permissions, and allow traffic on the above ports.

5) Configure your software firewall in the above manner.
