Why can't I get in to battle the sunbird

I cannot get in to battle the sunbird in the grand arena area of the Krokosphinx. It just keeps pushing me back.......any ideas?

I had the same problem. I just pressed and held down the "forward arrow" key and after a minute or two, I got in. :-(

same thing happened to me i couldn't stand it anymore but sooner or later i got in :-D
