I defeated Manu Nirini and got the quest to get the Kroc Thing, but I was defeated, so I re-spawned in the Oasis. I went back to continue and now there's a gate from the Map Room to the other room. I can't get in and I have no clue why I can't get to where I was! Any Ideas

Did you talk to quest giver again? Did you go over to where you need to place the staff in the ground?
