Why bother when I have second turn?

I can't even get up a shield, while the enemies seem to go for the million-damage badge on their first turn.
And I haven't even opened the first gate. Which means when I flee, I need to go to a different world to refill mana, health, and potions.

Of course when I complain, I get first turn. And my shields showed when I needed them.

sometimes you will not go first but sometimes you will keep tower shields in your treasure card deck
