Treasure card/Pip Problem

A few days ago, after getting a Skeleton Dragon treasure card I decided to use it. I deleted cards in till I got it and then saved up pips. I am a storm student so when I had 6 pips and 2 power pips I thought it would work (It costs 8 pips), but it didn't. It just stayed that grayish color. Does anyone know why this happened?

You miscounted your pips. It's an 8 pip spell, meaning you must have Death Mastery Amulet or be Death to cast it. Wizards can only hold 7 pips.

The problem is that ONLY death students can use skeliton dragon and other rank 8 and up spells so ethither sell the card, trade it, or buy a death mastery amulet ( 7,000 crowns).

Yes, and you would too had you done and paid attention to Diego the Duelmaster at level 6.

Power pips count ONLY for your school spells unless you have Mastery Amulet. Without a Mastery Amulet, you must have 8 white pips. In other words, you cannot use that treasure card.

Hmm, check your pips again. There are only 7 spots for pips.
I suppose you mean only 1 power pip?
Check the spell books! You can only use power pips for your main school (exception of mastery amulets).
Best way is to sell it since you can't use it.

Power pips only work for spells of your own school. If you were death, or had a death mastery amulet, you can use it.

this one is rather simple to explain.
the card you are referring to is a death spellcard while you are storm.

unless you have a specific amulet (the death mastery amulet) that lets you use power pips for another school, you are unable to use power pips for any spell other than storm types
