I ( and perhaps some others) have a problem with the current system of rewarding 3 points to players who flee the arena. Then those they leave behind also only get 3 points when they lose. Kinda seems like the system is promoting cowardice. How about a 3-tiered point system like:
0 -- Flee 5 - Defeated 10 - Victory
I think this will help some players rethink running out on their teammates.
