Yesterday, I entered the Crustacean Empire (yay!). After finishing Nestor's quests, I received the quest, "Plunkett, I Presume?" Every website I checked said this was a side quest and that Plunkett had the continuation of the main quest line. Nothing. So I continued, looking for the quest, "The Back Door," which, according to many websites, is a main quest. Eventually, I went to Xanthus and accepted his quests. THEN I was told to go to Plunkett and got "The Back Door." I was wondering if anyone ever officially announced that this string of quests from Senator Xanthus was a part of the main storyline.
