Pet damage talents don't add up correctly.

I have recently come across what I think is the perfect pet for a storm wizard, such as me.

Pain giver +6% (At the current moment)
Storm giver +6% (At the current moment)
Spritely.
4th yet to be determined.

With a base damage boost of 85% (Waterworks equipment, ring and athame)
plust 12% combined damage from pet, should make a 97% damage boost.

HOWEVER, my damage boost is only 96%. Is there a reason why? Any help on this will be greatly appreciated.
