i got same problem you might have to download patch manually. go to the wizard 101 folder to Bank a or b (for me it in bank b) high light the patch startting with http: ending with numbers and a letter go to iexporer or firefox and paste that link it download and make sure it goes to that wizard101 data folder Gamedata
