Opening Screen Issue

What has happened on the opening screen? It used to automatically stay on the last character that was played, and now it's constantly bouncing around to different characters. It is driving me insane. Can someone please fix this?

We have found this to be an intermittent problem also. We seem to be out of the skid of it for now though.
