Go see Professor Dworgyn in Nightside.

Note that you can't get your level 18 quest until you've done the quests for your level 12 and level 7 spells. I believe that you get those from Malorn Ashthorn in Ravenwood.

Dworgyn gives the quest, so check in with him just to make sure. Also, check with Ambrose, just in case you accidentally accepted the quest from Dworgyn without knowing.

No, you can't get into nightside until you get the quest, so you need to finish all your level 17 quests first.
