It is my suggestion that the names of the friends on your list have a different color than non friends. If I happen to be running around and a friend on my list is in sight, have their name show up in a different color than other people around who arent on my list to make it more recognizable. Also, when you look at a friends profile from your friends list it would be helpful to show where that person is, city and street location.
I agree, anything to promote interaction/communication will be good for the game. Another thing I'd like to see is a notification of a friend logging in to the game.
So if my friend "Logan DawnEyes" logged in, I would receive a notification in my chat box saying "Logan DawnEyes has logged in."
