The buy button is grey and when I go over it, it says I do not have enough room in my backpack. But there is about nothing in my backpack but then I went go sell things and it is still doing this. Can someone help?

If you're logged in during maintenance, you won't be able to access your crowns balance. That's the only possibility I can think of.
If your treasure card deck is completely full, sometimes you can't buy packs. Also, have you looked at your housing items? If you're lookign through your gear, and you have almost nothing there, when you switch over to your housing items, they may be filling up your pack.
Otherwise, Like the Doc says, Maybe the system was down for maintenance
