There is a work around. Go to your settings and turn off the link scan thing (sorry, I'm at work so I'm not exactly sure what it's called). I had to do this over 6 months ago due to KI/Wizard issues. My game loaded just fine this morning at 6:00am
All I know about AVG Free is that it removed World of Warcraft from my computer once. That was it for me. I got rid of it. You do have to be careful a lot of times with anti virus programs. They will ask you to remove something that is perfectly innocent. I found out the hard way. And Reloading WOW is not easy task. Was very mad about it.
