When I was early in one of my characters levels, I defeated rattlebones, I was told I got an egg. At the same time I was sent to deliver the piggle to the pet pavillion. Somewhere in there, I have the piggle, but I never got the egg. This has popped up on all my characters. So it seems that I don't get anything for defeating rattlebones? - marstn
I think for this particular puzzle you should contact support directly! Make sure to tell them your username, character name, and the exact name of the quest you were working on when this happened.
Oh one more thing I almost forgot... it is always more helpful when you know what day it happened as well!
