I have twice defeated Kormak in order to unlock Hrothgar Farseer but do not get a key no am I able to unlock him. The quest remains active. I tried to go to report a bug but was not able to make the report. Get an error that Email address is required but there is no place to type one in. A bit frustrating.

You don't actually "get a key" that you can see. You just have to walk right up to the cage, and you get the "interactive" "x" box at the bottom of the screen. It's one of those quests where you have to walk around and find just the right spot to make the interactive "x" appear. Hope this helps.
