Level 58 death pet and last teacher quest

Getting the pet does not look to to bad, but trying to beat Osseus has been a nightmare...I can't seem to beat him...over 13,000 points!! Not sure if its a solo quest or can friends join in? any suggestions? a bunch of life henchmen?
