Yes you do have to face all the bosses in the different regions or landscapes, after you beat all of them the final door will open to Ullik. (i think that's how you spell it)
Be careful and do not go near the main entrance. If you do, it will pull you out and you will have to start over from the beginning. This happened to me! This needs to be fixed.
