I have the rank 3 wider area of effect spells and none of them do me any good as I simply don't have plants that close to each other to be able to use any of them (and I did plant all my plants in the same area). When I planted I left a space or two between every plant and I did that cause on the test realm when I planted everything right next to each other as close as possible the test realm didnt allow me to harvest any of them cause they were too close together. So my option of using these wider area of effect cards seems to be to either not use them or to pack my plants so tight together that they aren't harvestable.
