For some reason when I was doing the quest for my new level48 spell orhtrus i had no arrow to tell me where ranulf moonclaw is. I manged to do the quest but i am just asking why i didn't have an arrow?
I had that problem too. There is no answer, just find it yourself or ask a higher friend. Then, mark your spot and you can go on with the main quests. I didn't have my arrow for most of the grand chasm.
