The quest is simple, kill the draconian warlocks for the dragon books or w/e and collect four of them. Me- "Sounds easy enough, I can do this in ten minutes."
*32 warlocks later* Me- "*sobbing* When will it end! When will it end! One book so far!!!"
Little did I know that books are an important nutritional value to draconian warlocks, and those who hold onto theirs are most likely saving it for a snack later... unfortunately not many draconians know self restraint.

Hear that, kids? It's true- the only way to properly digest books is by eating them!
Defeat-and-collects are terribly tedious and annoying, but at least your attempt to make them less dull definitely made me laugh :-)
