If you are talking about crafting leveling the only thing that will earn you status in this is to do the crafting quests given in each world of the Spiral starting with Wizard City across from the Bazaar.
Crafting level-wise only the crafting promotion quest in each world levels you not each item you create. Each level grants you a new tier of items you are able to craft; there is no xp involved. Each crafting teacher/promoter tends to be in or around the commons area for each world. Except side worlds/areas of grizzleheim, wintertusk, wysteria, and aquila.
