reagents and the school?

Why do reagents have a school type listed? What purpose is this for?

I can see why pet snacks have it as pets are each associated with a school and will prefer snacks of same school, but i dont see the reasoning for reagents to have a school code.

Anyone know why they do?? Thanks :)
