IF she made it, and you don't see it in your pack, then it pretty much has to be in your bank. You might want to go back to her and see what she has to say.
Crafting is a great way to make gear; don't get discouraged. If you need help finding particular reagents, post on this board. There are many people who's be happy to tell you where to find the various reagents.

Look in your bank. If your backpack is full, items automatically go to your bank. It's also possible that you sold it in error. A basic crafting station can be purchased in the Bazaar, by the way...
